- Click on “Buy Now" on the right hand side just below the picture
- Click on “Make Payment”
- Tick the box if you accept the Terms and Condition that are set out on a separate page.
Step 2: Payment
- Select payment method
- Click on Next
- Click on Confirm Order
- Fill in the bank details and follow the instructions
- You will receive and on-screen receipt with a link to the downloadable file which will be a Zip file
Step 3: Download
- Start Download
- Save the Zip audio tour file(s) to the My Documents or My Music folder of your computer.
- You will need to extract (Unzip) all of the files from the Zip file folder(s) you downloaded. You can do this by right clicking on the zipped folder and selecting "extract all files". This is done by using a free programme WinZip that is on most computers. If you do not have the latest version, you can download it at www.winzip.com.
- When the files have been extracted (unzipped) a separate folder will open showing each individual audio file, a PDF for the map, and some instructions. These individual audio files can be copied and pasted (or just dragged and dropped) into iTunes or another audio player such as Windows Media Player.
How large is the downloaded file?
The size is shown on the pages of each walk but they are between 20mb and 30mb.
What software do I need?
You will need a programme called Winzip to “unzip” your downloaded files. This is on most computers but can be downloaded for free from www.winzip.com.
The map is downloaded as a separate file and you do not need special software to see it.
Can I download these files onto a MAC?
Yes. They will download straight into iTunes.
What happens if the download fails?
When you order a tour from us, you will receive an on-screen receipt with a link to the downloadable file, and we send you an email also with the link. You can download the tour from this link at any time within 24 hours from the time of your purchase. Therefore if the download fails you can try again within this period. If you have a persistent fault you can mail us at support@strollon.co.uk and we will investigate it for you.
Uploading the Audio Tour to my ipod or MP3 player
This is no different from uploading music.
- You plug your player into your PC or Mac and create a playlist with the appropriate title for the walk.
- Drag the files from iTunes to the playlist making sure that they arrive in the correct order.
Now enjoy your stroll
Will your files be compatible with my ipod or MP3 player?
Yes. All our files are MP3 files and will be compatible with any MP3 player.
Listening to the Audio Tour
How do I listen to the walk?
Once you have loaded the walk onto your MP3 player it's very simple.
- Chapter 1 tells you how the walk works
- Chapter 2 tells you how to get to the start
- Chapter 3 begins at the starting point and your guide tells you about the sights around you.
- Each of the chapters begins with very simple directions to the next place. You then press pause while you walk to the place.
- You press play when you arrive and we will tell you about what you can see around you and so on for each chapter...
- At the end of the walk we give you directions back to where we started the walk.
If you happen to lose your way then go to the beginning of a chapter and you will be given the name of the stopping place with clear directions to it.
Can I listen to the walk on my mobile telephone?
Yes on some models but you will have to check with your mobile phone supplier or operator.
Doing the walks
Is there a map of my Audio Tour I have Downloaded?
Yes, on the page of each walk you will see a file marked .pdf on the right of the page. When you open this file you will see a map with each stopping place marked on it. Print this off and take it with you on the tour.
Should I worry about my safety?
We advise the following precautions:
- Make sure that your possessions are secure.
- Stop the tour when crossing roads or in areas where there might be danger from passing traffic.
- Never have the volume so loud that you cannot hear what is going on around you.
Troubleshooting

You can either try using your PC's search facility (type in the name of the walk). Or, if you can't find it, you can download it again from the download area in My Account (so long as you do this within the time limit for the downloads).
