The church for victims of the plague
The church stands at the top of Trafalgar Square and is famous for its concerts and its crypt. The design will be recognised by many Americans where it was often copied in the 18th century. There are often classical and jazz concerts in the church and a good café in the crypt.
Transport: Charing Cross underground and buses to Trafalgar Square.
Best time: Church in the day and concerts in the evening.
