Shakespeare’s theatre
Shakespeare’s theatre has been recreated on the South Bank in all its detail. The bricks, the roof and the stage are exactly the same as in the original. The auditorium is circular as it was in Shakespeare’s time and the audience surrounds the stage. There are performances every evening in the summer and you can take tours of the theatre during the day.
Transport: London Bridge underground
